My name is Jonathan and I offer piano lessons to students from my music room in Emsworth, Hampshire. I have many years’ experience, helping students from complete beginners upwards to learn how to play piano. I also help students compose and record their own music in my home studio. I have helped many students learn how to accompany them selves sing or play with a choir or instrumental group. I am a passionate, friendly, and dedicated classically trained pianist with a BA(Hons) in Professional Musicianship. I have been a piano teacher since 2004, and have taught privately, in schools, with agencies and academy’s including the position as the Head of Piano at the Sussex Academy of Music. I now teach piano lessons solely from my music room conveniently located in Emsworth, making my studio easily accessible from Havant, Southbourne, Westbourne, Denvilles, Warblington, Chichester, Bedhampton or Waterlooville. The most important thing to me is that my students enjoy learning the piano . I help make sure all piano lessons are enjoyable for all ages. My wide range of games and exercises and activities ensure all my pupils find their lessons varied and fun. For the students who wish to do music grades as part of their piano journey, my practical and performance exam pass rate is 100%. My passion is music and I love teaching piano to those who want to learn to play and create the music they love. About Jonathan Dear – Musician & Piano TutorI am a multi instrumentalist and working musician with plenty of recording and performance experience.
I take pride in every aspect of my career and perform to the highest standard. I have experience performing with many big names such as Demi Lovato, Little Mix, Avril Lavigne and more. I have experience performing and recording in a wide variety of genres from classical to modern rock, Jazz to Pop and in many professional situations and alongside many big names such as bands like Snow Patrol through to artists like Mark Ronson.
